about us

Angelo DeLuca an Environmental Health Inspector with a record rich in leadership and building winning teams. He is also a Registered Sanitarian and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a close attention to detail and a superior work ethic.

He is no stranger to the foodservice industry. As a youngster, growing up in East Boston, he started working with his father at the family meat market. He eventually left the business to pursue an undergraduate degree in criminal justice.

Prior to entering the field of Public Health, Angelo spent almost 10 years at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston as the Director of Loss Prevention and Security. His primary responsibilities included ensuring that the hotel was in compliance with all safety and fire codes, development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans, acting as a regulatory liaison between local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and conducting formal and informal investigations involving both criminal and civil matters.

During his tenure, the hotel was noted for having one of the highest rated safety and security programs worldwide. In addition, his department held the record for the most consecutive days without a lost time injury and ranked in the top ten with regard to worker’s compensation. Maintaining such standards at a hotel that was twice the winner of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award was no small feat. His ability to build solid and lasting partnerships has also earned him leadership awards for last five years.

Angelo is a skilled training and development professional with a proven ability to motivate both individuals and teams and possesses a high level of diplomacy and confidentiality. In addition to possessing a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, he is recognized as a Certified HACCP trainer by the FDA and AFDO (Association of Food and Drug Officials) Seafood HACCP Alliance and as a trainer in the “Application of HACCP Principles in Retail Food and Food Service Operations”.

Angelo is also a Registered ServSafe® Instructor and Proctor, offering the National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Program. He is also a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and CPR Instructor. Passionate about inspiring others, he believes that by working as a team, we can bring about real change.
