Prior to the founding of Safe Food Management, Pamela worked in the foodservice industry in a variety of roles. She got her start in the regulatory arena by providing inspectional services to Massachusetts cities and towns.

Pamela proudly worked with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, analyzing policies and regulations and providing technical assistance to local boards of health and the foodservice industry.

Certified Trainer

Pamela is recognized as a Certified HACCP trainer by the FDA and AFDO (the Association of Food and Drug Officials). In addition to providing HACCP training programs, she developed a USDA-approved HACCP course, designed for all levels of the food industry, entitled “Establishing Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Programs” which is available as a college-credited course, and can be modified to serve as a Certificate Program.

Curriculum Developer

As a highlight to her career, Pamela was awarded an FDA Innovative Food Safety Grant to work with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to develop a HACCP training curriculum for regulators. The training was designed to provide background information, public health rationale, regulations, guidelines, and controls for initiating, evaluating, and verifying mandatory HACCP plans in retail food, establishments.
